Consulting

Our consulting services consists of designing, implementing, and carefully measuring the effects of creative alignments that may involve realigning policies, practices, learning, values and other aspects with the company vision. Alignment produces synergy which is power, and focuses resources, people and other resources in the same direction. Peter Senge in his 1990 book, “The Fifth Discipline,” described alignment as being, “…like the coherent light of a laser rather than the incoherent and scattered light of a light bulb.” (Senge, 1990).

Gary Dressler in his book, “Human Resource Management” addresses alignment from a more practical perspective as part of the strategic planning process at the functional or department level. He defines strategic human resource management as “…having human resource policies and practices that produce the employee skills and behaviors that are necessary to achieve the company’s strategic goals…”. This requires a thorough understanding of not only the activities that each department must master as they relate to the departmental strategic goals, but also an awareness and intentional effort to produce the skills, competencies, and attitudes that employees will need in order for that department to achieve its goals (Dressler, 2017).
